Surly Moonlander-fat tyres or very fat tyres?

I've just ordered one of these,frame and forks plus an offset crank set so far. I'm undecided about rims and tyres though.Do I go for the 100mm rims and 4.7 tyres or the 65mm rims and 3.8 tyres? Anyone any experience of
either or both? It's going to be used mainly in the mud,not sand or snow so much.

Can't help but let us know how you get on. They look like great fun, but having run 2.5DH tyres on my MTB Tandem once, I found them so draggy that I know if I bought a Fat Bike and it was as bad I'd use it once and leave it in the back of the garage.

I'm curious to find out how well / poor they roll.

I rode one about four weeks ago at Cannock in the snow,we just came across three guys on fat tyre bikes who offered us a go on them.I was amazed at how good they were to ride.So I looked up a dealer nearby and went for a look and a chat.He let he ride his Pugsly up and down the road and it too was very good,not really draggy at all,
but both these bikes were on the 3.8 tyres.The Moonlander is made to take the 4.7s but is designed for snow and
sand really and I don't want to spoil the ride purely for looks.
