The mayor of London is being called on to reduce the number of serious cycling accidents on London's roads.

Opening clip:

Accident on Horton Road in Datchet. Didn't know the mayor had influence that far out...

Wasn't there more relevant footage they could have used or did the journalist simply go to the first Youtube clip he could find...

I wish my local council was put under some pressure to do something for cyclists. The best we get is some lines painted on a road that run out in 50 yards.

Horton Road Datchet is literally 2 miles outside of the London Mayoral boundary. It's hardly a major mistake by the BBC!!(Best Broadcaster by far IMHO)

Best broadcaster, but their news is terrible. Really badly researched, dumbed down and biased.

That video is an absolute joke. Lots of cyclists without helmets. The cycle lane looks like a free for all with some cyclists not even bothering to use it, some straddling the edge of the lane. That video doesn't help.
