broken ribs are miserable, i broke a few in a car accident and its surprising how they restrict what you can do. Plus there is nothing to be done with them unless they are worried about puncturing a lung.
mind you hes fitter and younger than me so he'll up and training in no time.

Glad to see Wiggo isn't seriously injured, BUT......

Imagine being the van driver, of ALL the cyclists you can collide with, it's a TdF winner and Olympic Gold Medallist. Gutted

I bet he doesn't live that one down for a while!

As for the accident in general, you've got to feel slightly sorry for the Van Driver, fills up, pays (one assumes) goes to pull out of petrol station, sees a cyclist a fair way back so believes it's safe..... what they failed to spot that it's none other than Brad, TDF winner, world cham etc etc and he's doing 30+mph.... WHAM!!!

Broken ribs on Brad... I reckon he'll be back on the turbo within the week and on the road training within two,...... drugs are ok in Cycling aren't they?
