Enjoy. He's a nutter.

They are the outakes from this rather self indulgent number - http://www.cyclingtips.com.au/2012/08/cipo-007/

Madness - utter madness, but very entertaining! Time to start a sweepstake on life expectancy?

He chucks that thing about like a superbike rider!

Balls like footballs, if he had a blowout at almost any-point there he's dead. Very cool though.

Totally agree, despite knowing it ended well I could not help but think of the consequences of a blowout, errant cat, old person crossing the road, meeting a car/bike coming around a corner etc etc etc.....

God knows how he manages to sit on that saddle with balls that big!

Camera car sounded lovely. Turbo, four pot, sounded 60s/70s. Italian, maybe a Lancia or an Alfa?

That's not DH, get on Youtube and find the clip of the bloke with 1 arm who did the World Cup DH track in France. That's some serious DHing.

They're different skill sets.

Having been a decent mountain bike rider I can see how impressive the other video is, to go downhill like that on 20mm tyres with no helmet on is pretty special.

Fair play I've never ridden a road bike, would have to agree not wearing a helmet is pretty brave/stupid!

What sort of speed might he be doing?

Whilst I appreciate the skill I struggle to describe this as anything other than stupid.

Yeh tend to agree, but we could say the same about most videos on youtube that are impressive to watch. Jumping out of space is stupid, doesn't change the fact it was awesome.

Hopefully there will be less people trying to emulate jumping from space biggrin

This for me is far more impressive. Wet, very slippery, and probably almost as fast in places.

Title should be " That's how you go downhill if you want to die ".

The human body is quite resilient, people survive all sorts of horrible accidents, but wearing no helmet yikes

B4 you flame me, I love cycling, I am no pc brigade, each to their own & I marvelled at his speed & bike control, big balls no doubt at all, but you can be a "cabbage" so to speak just by dismounting falling over & banging your head.

I don't agree with it being stupid apart from the fact he was on the other side of the road on blind corners. I bet he knows that descent like the back of his hand, knows exactly how much he doesn't have to brake or pedal for each corner. I would say it was skilful and bravery, not stupidity.

That mountain bike clip aswell is awesome, the speed he gets down that descent dodging between rocks is incredible.
