I can't be the only person who gets this surely?

Riding to or from work when its dark and you see someone else coming the other way on a bike. At least you assume its another bike as his front light is burning your retinas out with the intensity of a solar flare and lighting up the entire fking city.

Once you are passed squinting through the rain and the arc eye do you think to yourself 'wow that was a really impressive light, I bet that bloke has an awesome life, good job, massive cock, beautiful wife and is an absolutely awesome human being'

I need to buy some better lights to make my life complete.

I've been put off the Cree lights by talk of exploding li-ions in cheaper lights, I shouldn't have read this months Cyclist because they do look fantastic vfm.

All joking apart, they're very good. I did LEJOG on one in 9 days this year, and had no problems. They take a bit of getting used to, and setting it, but they're worth it.

I used to get light envy until I got my CREE 1800 Lumen light, I now hand out the envy I do have to turn it off when I pull up at the lights behind a white van though for fear of giving myself an epileptic fit though

It's quite funny watching the reaction as you come up behind someone when they wonder what's lighting up their path from 25meters behind Definitely recommended, but don't get anything more than 1800Lumens because then I'll get the envy again

My lights are bright, although it bemuses me why some manufactures put a flashing function, Im sure it would be like a strobe light to a driver, no driver would see anything if they got an eye full of that
