2012 what have you spent...
Discussion
I sold last years winter bike last night to a mate and when I was cleaning it up started noticing the bits and pieces I had upgraded in my ownership. Wheels, cables, cassette, chainring.....
Therefore the quest to find out exactly how much I have spent this year from the likes of Wiggle, Merlin, eBay along with race entries and fuel to get to events begins. To make myself feel better I invite you to do the same, I am hoping some comfort will be gained knowing others have spent shedloads more than I have on my 'cheap' hobby

Incriminating evidence shouldn't be posted, you leave yourself logged in once and that's it your done for
Its all good, with the money I have 'made' on the old bike I am quids in and can afford to lash out for a new lid and shoes, which also means this months 'fund' can be spent on some new winter kit.....I'm massively up on the deal.
man maths, i do enjoy it

Planet X Team Alu/SRAM red....£999
Scott Foil 10 frame set £2600
TRP cx9 brakes for CX bike £99
Rapha winter jersey £160
Assos shorts £120
Tyres n stuff £100
Mavic Cyclocross shoes £140
Bikebox Alan bike box £300
That's about it...I think. The ray of sunshine in all this is M&S insurance coughed up £1900 towards the cost of replacing my frame....so not bad really.

I dread to think
Probably slightly north of £3k on:
New road bike
Tyres
Bottle cages x 2
Bottles x 2
Chain catcher
Bike bag
Sprocket for the single speed
Chain for the single speed
Brake pads x 4
Items of clothing
Lights
The problem is, the "to buy" list is still as long as ever (about another £3k):
Helmet
Garmin 5/800
Aero wheels
Planet X track bike
Gloves
Shoes
Bike box
More items of clothing etc etc.
Not quite sure how I justify this on a saving in tube fares of £100/month

Off the top of my head, and without looking at my 7Hundred, Ribble, Chainreaction, Wiggle accounts, I can think of;
Cannondale CAADx
Mavic Rush shoes
Mavic Galibier shoes
Speedplay Zero's
Shimano M540's
Charge Spoon
Mavic Open Pro's on 105 hubs (handbuilt)
Shimano RS80's
Vredestein TriComps x 2
Schwalbe Marathon plus x 2
Vittoria Cross XG x 2
KMC X10
Altura night vision jersey
Altura night vision bib's
Altura night vision evo jacket
Altura transformer windproof jacket
Castelli Sottile shorty
Castelli Velocissimo mitts
Smart R2
Nightrider Mako
5 x Vittoria tubes
Purple extreme lube
Castelli cap
Morvelo cap
Eleganza bar tape
Ti wheel skewers
5700 rear mech
Sun Ringle Charger Expert wheels
Crank bros wheel skewers
6 x Velox rime tape
Kask K50 skid lid
Sunwise multi lens glasses
Prendas arms warmers and socks
Nukeproof socks
High Five Carb drink - a few tubs through the year....
I know there is quite a bit more but I don't want to think about it anymore, I think I have just figured out why I never seem to have enough money to have the bathroom and kitchen re-fitted though.........
