Directional tyres

I bought some Schwalbe Land Cruisers for my MTB last week. The tread looked directional and so I fitted them as such. However being a bit of a noob when it comes to cycling, I have since read that the rear tyre should be fitted in the opposite direction to the front.

Oops. Is this a big deal or should I not worry too much about correcting my mistake?

I don't know if these particular tyres have the direction stamped on the sidewall, didn't know to look.

I only ride casually, to the shops and round the local area etc. Considering commuting the 14 mile round trip to work, but the hills on the route are putting me off at the moment :0

Fit them in their stated direction. They will function adequately in either direction though.

do this. only in very rare circumstances is it better to run a tyre the wrong way round. it might increase traction but from experience it makes cornering very scary!

I run Conti Speed Kings on the MTB and they recommend opposite facings front and rear, the front blocks 'v a bit like car tyre treads to displace water, the rears do the opposite to provide traction in mud.

Was just wondering if anyone had used these particular tyres and what they did. I know they're fairly popular

I have them and I fitted them both with the V pointing forwards, worked fine! I had them on and off a few times, switching between them and knobblies, didn't notice any difference with them fitted 'correctly'. I wouldn't loose any sleep over it but maybe correct it if you need to take the tyre off.
