Yup I've subscribed. There was an offer in EVO a couple of months ago (it's by Dennis Publishing).
Must admit, I really like it and it's right up my street. Cheesy to say, but it seems like EVO for cyclists
I imagine the winter months aren't the easiest to get good cycling stories, though I guess they're going on the success of cycling over the summer, but I'll certainly maintain my subscription for a few months!

We had an offer as a member of British Cycling, I think it was 3 issues for the price of one, but I decided that I quite like going in to the newsagent and having a flick through the various titles before deciding which one to take home that month.
I just wish they wouldn't put them on the top shelf...

I actually got it in particular this month for the Alps feature as we are taking the bikes over next August

I bought it the other day, then got given a copy at the cycle show. D'oh!
While I was talking to a guy on the stand this old boy came up and asked about it. The guy manning the stand was busy dealing with iPad cookie issues (I hope not everyone subscribed using my bank account!) so I said, to the old boy, "it's pretty good. More feature articles like the alp ride rather than the news and equipment reviews in Cycling Weekly. I think it's pretty good because it's more feature driven"
When the guy on the stand asked him what he thought the old boy said, "I don't think it's my kind of thing", and walked off.
Here endeth my career as a magazine salesman.

have to say i was unimpressed with "cyclist", it seems to be a poor mans version of rouleur with a hint of cycling plus in there. they have gone for the dramatic pictures and are targetting the high end market but its just a bit of a jumble. the layout was pretty poor and the choice of articles for the first issue was a bit odd. how much more about Wiggo can people write?
there was talk of a road equivilent of singletrack recently which was shot down and i think Cyclist is trying to be that magazine. sure it could get better, needs some proper articles though, as an example, rouleur's photo-essay of a random junior race in flanders in a recent issue was awesome.

I have a copy and so far I have only really read the three bike reviews in the back which seem to say "Hey, this is a great bike!"... Which is kinda what you'd expect from bikes costing £3,000-£10,000!
Anyway, the rest of it looks pretty good. I'm unlikely to be a regular buyer at £5 an issue, but if it's got enough in it I could see myself buying it for a long flight or train ride.
