Land Rover bikes.

Quick question - are these any good?
I need to do something to get out and get a little bit of excercise, and a friend says anything under £600 is a waste of time. I've seen a couple of Land Rover bikes foe £200 to £300 but are these any better than a £150 Halfords bike? I like Land Rover cars so it would be a cool bike to have anyway

Only issue with LR is it will break down on you.... I need to do something to get out and get a little bit of excercise, and a friend says anything under £600 is a waste of time. Depends what you want to do "get out and about for abit of exercise" is pretty open description.
On forums everywhere people will naturally suggest spending £Xhundreds to get a "decent" bike while not knowing what you need/want.
If you're a fat slob who finds walking to the TV to turn the XBOX off then a £50 2nd hand job from your LBS will be fine to get you off the sofa, if you are a fit and active person you might need to spend £1000 on a road bike to see any fitness benefit.
Basically you'll get useless answers for a non-specific question.
FWIW- You can get some nice, "decent" bikes second hand from your local shop, all tested and serviced "good as new" for cheaps which will serve you for years of use and abuse, you do not need to "waste" £500+ at a Halfords!
Don't forget to budget enough for decent shorts (padded) shoes, gloves and helmet- doesn't matter how far you ride sooner or later your arse gets sore and some pr*ck might knock you off!
