80's BMX what was yours?

Inspired by the Raleigh thread, my fondest cycling memories have to be the golden age of 80's bmx, I had a Steve Wilson first made in Redditch if anyone can remember those? Then a VDC changa with a very unique frame design, then after that a Hutch, always Lusted after Flight cranks but never had the money to buy.

Except mine was fitted with spoked wheels, and a fluted seat stem instead of a layback. Very fast race bike. ste for tricks though.

Mine was one of these: a Raleigh Charger. Almost forgotten, cream with mag wheels and red/black grips.

I remember deliberately trying to bend/break them lol

Soooo many snapped spokes, but hey...bung them in the freezer and all will be OK heh?

That was mine, great bike. Non of that heavy mag wheels ste. Plus stunt pegs on the back....awesome.

Blimey, i cant remember seeing another Changa, all the hire bikes at Centre Parcs were Haro, I remember going to see Bob Haro at the NEC! (referring to your pants!)

Falcon Prostyler - loved that bike. Orange mag wheels, twin top tubes. I fitted a spinner headset to mine and more stunt pegs.

I had some Puch thing for a number of years then a DP freestyler on Z rims. I dreamed about a Skyway TA for many years and bought one last year on ebay. Im still waiting to bolt the thing together though...

I had a mate that could flex them right down so the wheel nut hit the floor as I remember the old freezer trick used to get them back almost straight

I had a Mag Burmer, it was whits with black plastic wheels. It had oval tubing. The lad who bought it from me(20yrs ago!) has renovated and given it to his lad
