Can't see a recent topic discussing road pads so I'm starting one 
Currently using some Shimanos from Evans which, quite frankly, are dangerous in the wet and squeal in the dry, so I'm looking to replace them. These have been recommended but I'd be interested to hear views from others before parting with my money please

Not teaching Grandma to suck eggs, but check the pads are angled right. They should strike the rim front end first (slightly). I used to set them up using a piece of card between the block and trailing edge...
Took a look this morning and it looks like one of the pads isn't toeing in correctly so will give them some adjustment later. Still not a fan of them though really (they were all the shop had when I was desperate), would prefer knowing that hitting the brakes in the wet will stop me
