Tyres. Time to replace?

Hi all. My partners Marin will be used next week to do a few easy miles on holiday. The tyres and possibly inners are about 15yrs old. Would it be advisable to bin them and put a new set on all round?

I would pump them up and see over night of they hold pressure and of any cracks appear on the walls.
Then if the tyre is hard and cracked or the inner tube is also hard or cracked I would change.

Even if they hold pressure the rubber will have perished by now to a certain extent, and they might just burst with no warning.

I'd change the inner tubes for definite; it's not like it takes very long. Maybe the outers if they're cracked, depending on how far you're planning on riding.

i would have said its more important to change the tyres rather than the tubes.

if the tubes hold air, then they are doing their job and should be alright.

tyres are much more exposed to the elements and will harden, crack and the bead will start to rust with time

I think I'll just bin them all. 15 years seems outrageous and I'm asking for problems!

I'd certainly change them. I can't believe they'll work well that old...
