Did Cannock Chase yesterday. Started snowing about 30mins before I got there, but there was a good covering by the time i'd finished. Brilliant fun!

Yep. Went out this morning but nowhere near the amount of snow as in your pics. Did have a couple of tricky descents though with the rear wheel trying to overtake the front!

Also ended up with a broken gear cable....

No - had it all planned too. Got the MTB all sorted with puncture resistant kevlar liners, and a pair of super bright Magicshine lights on the handlebars all ready/charged.

Then I crashed my car on Tuesday so that's in shop now and I have no way to get to my cycle route start. frown

Done a lap of Cannock this, no snow but ice, 6 times I came off my first real xc with clip ins, emotional but great fun.

Just got back from 90 mins on the moors. Feck me it was hard work. It was a foot deep in most places so you were limited to landrover tracks where the keepers had been. Some of the dh was exceptionally hairy - the choice was deep snow with little control or ruts that suddenly became ice. Even my dogs with built in crampons were struggling for grip.

Still it justifies the intake of calories whilst watching the England game in the pub.

Clumber Park to Sherwood Pines. A lap of the red route & a coffee then back to clumber. No grip in Pines but great fun. 35miles & a touch over 3hours. Today is a Wattbike day.

I like running and am training for a half marathon. Training is going ok, but I don't like running in the snow.

I cycle to work and hate it. Cycling is for puffs and should be banned. But because I didn't want to run on ice I needed to do something, so I jumped on my bike for an hours cycling and quite enjoyed it.

I feel dirty now.

Last Sunday 8am on the Dog, was great till the rear dérailleur hanger cracked and dropped the lot in amongst the spokes. The good thing though it's spurred me on to buy a new better bike.

Was out during the snow last week and was caught out a few times riding on fresh snow on top of ice
