Chain wear

Just a quickie, checked my chain this morning and can easily fit the chain wear indicator from Evans in at the .5% slot but not the .75%

Its on my Carrera mtb and thinking about it I have probably only done about 250 miles, is this about right or should I get a replacement chain?

That's fine, no need to change it until wear is over .75
