Just got my first new bike in over 25 years - a Dolan

Little story behind it, my winter training bike was an Ernie Clements 531 db frame running a mixture of campag/shimano/cinelli which I built in 1983!

I had pedaled tens of thousands of miles on it until a car driver failed to give way at a roundabout and drove straight into my left hand side at the beginning of last December. The bike was smashed, a cherished tool crumpled.

So today I had delivered a Dolan Preffisio (aluminium training bike) with Rival groupset. I have to say it appears very well thought out in design of the frame and executed/finished to a high standard.

Without a doubt after the few miles I rode today it is so much better than what I had before, its very rare that you have a chance to "jump" forward 3 decades in design on a piece of equipment.
