Looking for a new bike, and wanting a bargain. price between 500 - 700 , hard-tail. I had a cube attention and like cube bikes but fancy something different.

so far sunn 2 is 561 half price seems good value.

I'm in the same boat at the moment. Had a Spesh hardrock pro with a few upgrades, but then it got pinched.

What did you reckon to the Cube? I'm looking at the 2012 attention, had a quick carpark jaunt on one today, liked it but nowhere near a proper test obviously.

Very quick post, without any research, but I had an email from Merlin Cycles (Leyland) on Friday and I think they're punting out Merida MTB's that should be £600 at half price... might be worth a look.

The frame handles speed well, just the tyres and forks let it down. Mine was green/black and was a good bike, but I would probably pay the bit more to get the acid next time..

Th reason I bought it was the fact they are a big player in Germany, which holds a lot of weight for me.

tbh already looked at this but it is a good bike etc and highly rated, I can't ride it first. I would also go for the grand canyon if i was to buy.

I quite like this:

but it was better last week, with the 25% voucher off on top of that price frown

The Sunn above is even cheaper than 50% off due to CRC voucher codes, same with most of the major retailers at the moment.

I took delivery of this very bike last week after seeing it on CRC and its nothing short of excellent.

The only thing that lets it down in my opinion is that there is no remote pop-lock for the forks so i'll need to buy that separately and the paintjob whilst flawless could be prettier.

A mate the previosus week ordered the Ghost SE6000 and that is more impressive to look at and appears to be similarly specc'd.

Cheers, glad to hear it. I'm wondering about the acid, but the 2012 range has better forks, so I think I'm gonna go for the attention, the acid is just a bit out of my price range. They look absolutely fantastic though!

Hope you find the hardtail for you!
