Without wishing to seem insensitive...

Last month I commuted to Bow Studios on a job for two weeks, and cycled on that roundabout most days. It didn't make me feel in any way that this was a 'dangerous' piece of road for bikes, but I now hear that two cyclists have been killed there in recent weeks. Not sure of the details, but it did surprise me really. Anyone else use this section?

The guy apparently was a good rider, my inlaws knew the family well. Shame really, not sure how it happened though.

Just by my work there is a 'ghost bike' http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2011/nov/10... But that one is by some traffic lights, so unless said person has jumped a red or someone else has jumped a red (which would result in a car crash) I just can't see how some of these can be anyone's fault but the riders. I've ridden 5000 miles on London roads this year and I've not come off once, or really been close to be honest. Ironically my only crash was out in the sticks. Be smart and actually I think crashing and killing yourself is quite hard to do (if that makes sense)
