I can't believe how mild the weather is.
Cycled in to work today - short sleeved cycling shirt and shorts!!!!
Started home in the same attire but relented and put the arm warmers on.

But still - not bad for 1st November, eh??

I'm clearly a big old girl. Roubaix tights, winter jersey, gilet and arm warmers on the way home. Chuffed to get 75km in today though.

I had the tights and a thermal vest on under my normal single layer a few weeks back, that was about it.

Was intending to do a few miles last night on the way back from my ex's (baby sitting duties), but got shafted by my first chain failure in years. Turned out to be a most relaxing walk home pushing the bike instead. 3/4 length shorts, tee shirt and a high vis jacket, still way too warm or overdressed.

Yesterday was lovely in shorts and a long sleeve top but I needed a windproof jacket today as it was a bit nippy at 6am!

Same here, I love it!

Not sure what I'll wear when it starts to get colder though, I only started cycling to work this summer so it's my first winter and I only have thermals for playing football!

I'll probably stick with shorts until it's frozen because I don't like riding with my legs covered!

I'm the same as you, Pembo - I only started this summer so everything I have is summer based.

I'm still wearing shorts and short sleeved t-shirt, sometimes with a gillet on (mainly for the visibiility as it's yellow). A couple of occasions my ears got VERY cold and so I put on one of those ski-type ear warmers under my helmet but took it off after 2 miles as i was boiling!!

I hear rumors that November is going to be the warmest on record? Will certainly make cycling to work far more fun smile

I am now wearing 3/4 super roubaix tights and a autumn jersey, sometimes with a bsae layer, other times not.

There's no point in trying to be tough, proecting your knees from cold air is very important imo.

I think that the time you leave for work, especially at the moment, has a large effect.

No "trying to be hard" here - quite the opposite in fact, I'm just getting too bloomin hot in anything more than shorts/t-shirt! I leave at 7.30am however over the coming weeks, with sunrise now occuring after 7.30 and not before, i can see it being much colder.
