SRAM Matchmaker with X5 and Pushloc - any pics?
Discussion
I was looking at the Pushloc remote lever for my Recon forks. The adverts all claim it's Matchmaker compatible so I looked into the rest of my handlebar furniture - and it's all supposed to be Matchmaker compatible. I can't work out how it'd all hang though. Anyone got any pics?
I have Avid Elixir brakes / SRAM X5 shifters. The shifters appear to have an integral mount - I can't work out how they'd take advantage of the Matchmaker, nor how I'd mount all 3 items (lever, shifter, Pushloc) off one Matchmaker.

That's interesting thanks. That's the X-loc isn't it? The hydraulic one? How does that connect to the fork? I suspect my Recon's aren't compatible with that.
However that looks different again from the Matchmaker I've been looking at on-line. My X5 shifters have, what looks like, an integral mounting hoop so I'm not clear how the Matchmaker can help. The SRAM webby suggests they are compatible, along with the Elixirs and a Pushloc but they don't publish pics (all in all, a bit of a poor effort on their behalf).
Thanks again.

I know, its pretty frustrating. Saying that, what if you have a remote seatpost, and remotes for both fork and rear shocks!! Its going to get crowded on there lol
I was going to get them but I've gone to Ashima levers and calipers instead of my Avids I currently use. I must say though I do love XO shifters, what gorgeous bits of kit, I love the feel as you smash up and down the gears, nice solid clunk, very different feel to the XTR ones I am used to.

you can't use X5 with matchmaker cos of the intergrated clamp. You'll need X7 (or maybe X9) or higher....
I agree with you but SRAM's own website says different:http://www.sram.com/sram/mountain/products/x5-trig...
That said, I'm involved in website design and implementation. One of my customers tests and tests until it's bang-on before launching. Most others do not and they go-live with terrible inaccuracies.

I don't think you can get a matchmaker pushloc.
Again, their webby suggests you can:http://www.sram.com/rockshox/products/pushloc
... but they don't publish any decent pics of it all strung together. Bloody amateurish really.
It's all a bit frustrating. I think I probably need to go and visit with the LBS again. I was considering a remote adjustable seatpost for Christmas if I could integrate it with a Matchmaker but given that I simply don't believe the X5s can be made to work with the Matchmaker, I might give up on that idea.
