I have an old pair of Tektro hehe v-brakes I'm trying to refit

only problem is, I have lost the screw and right-angled cable clamp that fits on top of the lever arm.

Attempts to rob similar part from the collection have failed.

Any ideas where I can get this screw ? Is it a standardish size?

as seen top right

I have no idea if its a standard size but I have the clamp (not the screw) off a old pair of STX RC cantilever brakes which looks like it might might fit... happy to post it to you.

You could try making one with an old bit of mending strip, a dremel, and a pair of pliers. The bolt will be easy enought to replace. Ot ask in your LBS. Likely they'll have a spare one somewhere.

Try the set screw out of the bottle holder. If that fits then you know you can hunt for an M5 screw.

He can get a screw and washer for bog-all. Budget bikes are budget so the less amount of times you spend on it the better.

I am trying to slap one together and the thought of spending £14 would send a shiver down my spine!
