Road wheel question

Might be a silly question, but interested in views on this...
I recently hit a pretty big pot hole on the road bike (couple of inches deep!) and being a pretty big fellow it made a very harsh thunk!
I thought the wheels would have been shot, but amazing they still run absolutely true in line with the brake block. Amazing strength.
However, I had the bike on a small work stand the other day (for the first time) and when spinning the rear wheel at high speed the bike did shake up and down a bit.
Now - question: Is this simply due to the weight not being 100% equal or could I have knocked the wheel out of a true circle? And if it is knocked out, will it have much effect and/or is that repairable? I haven't noticed anything too bad when riding the bike to be fair, I was just interested in whether it is something worth getting corrected?
Wheel set is what was supplied with the bike and are Mavic Carbone SLR.

Almost every bike wheel will be very slightly out of balance and will do that slight bob up and down when spun up in a work stand (all of mine have always done) - I think its mainly to do with the weight of the valve on one side of the tube.
However being a carbon rim I would have a very close look over all of it under a good light just to be sure.

there is no harm in taking them to a wheel builder and letting them have a look. one or two spokes could be in need of re-tensioning but you may not notice when you are on the bike.
Actually there would be quite a lot of harm in this as they are carbon spokes on the SLR's, I'm not sure even Mavic dealers will touch these, they have to go back to Mavic if you break a spoke

Back to OP - how much vertical movement is there when you spin the wheel? When the bike is in a stand use an elastic band to hold a lollypop stick (or any other straight edge) over the tyre and spin the wheel slowly to see any vertical movement

It's starts to wobble about in the stand as the wheel speed approaches 25-30mph, it's not a great deal of movement and it's quite a cheap stand so I am begining to think it is just the weight variance. The lolly stick idea is a great one. I'll give that a try.
