My new 2012 Trek Superfly 29 100 Elite Alu......

.........is in stock at the dealer. The only trouble is(which to be fair is great as we're having a lovely time), I'm on holiday in Lake Garda with my CinderCone and family for company. I'm very excited to get it, but don't return till the 6th!

Anyone else got one on order, or already got it?

Could be the photo/angle, but looks like that front wheel will get close to the frame once the forks compress ...?

Very nice bit of kit, haven't seen a 29er on the move yet, be interesting to see them in the woods...!

I've been out 3 days in a row now. I came from a 2011 EX6, and the Superfly is every bit as good, but faster. It is such a confidence inspiring ride. I haven't really noticed the bigger wheels, even round the twisty stuff. I am loving this bike.

If you haven't tried a 29er, give it a go.

I'm intrigued by 29ers. Apparently most new bikes in the States are going this way so it's inevitable it'll feed through to us sooner rather than later. I would love to try one out. A bloke I met was extolling the virtues of his Trek "69er" which has a 29 at the front and a 26 at the rear. Now that is wrong.

I've heard they're supposed to be the new standard for down hilling. I love the name, but not necessarily the concept...

I've been out on it 5 times now, and it just goes so well, I am noticeably quicker than on my ex6!
