On One Whippet

Has any got, ridden, read much about the On One Whippet in carbon for £400? I'm thinking of building up a bike to make use of the all excess bike parts I have in my shed and the cheapness appeals.

no experience of the Whippet, but Ive got an inbred. Its a great frame, very well made and rides fantastically. I did have a bit of problem with delivery - didnt turn up when I was promised it, was soon resolved tho. The whippet certainly looks great!

I decided to do that 3 months ago, once the frame turned up I decided to get mostly new bits (the frame was too good to have 'old' bits attached) - 3 months later my £300 frame turned into a £1,300 build!

Good luck, its very rewarding riding a bike you specc'd for your own riding style - also nice to ride something a little more 'individual' than the mass produced stuff (and before I get a slating, I also ride a few mass produced bikes as well). . . .

I know On One and when I noticed the Whippet I thought it would be a good shout, but at £399 it oddly put a bit of doubt into my mind. Is it £400 very well spent would you say?

Also, what front mech are you running and do you have clearance issues with 3 chain rings, I've herd 2 fits better, or modding 3 rings.

I'd be interested in a picture and spec of your bike if you'd be happy to divulge?
