Which flat MTB pedals and which backpack?

I'm looking for some flat mountain bike pedals without breaking the bank.
I was going to get some Wellgo MG1 Magnesium Platform Sealed pedals in white but see my other thread for the reason i have gone off these.
I like the looks and size of the above pedals, so what else is there on the market that is as good or better for similar money and where from?
I am also on the hunt for a backpack / rucksack for biking, unsure of what a good size would be.....
Need it to be big enough to carry:
Change of clothes
Spare tube/s
Few tools, repair kit & pump
Packed lunch
Also ideally to be hydration compatable / included
A collegue has a 15L bag but it seems pretty small but i have seen other 15L bags that seem bigger?
I have looked at a fair few and this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003AM8AG6/ref=... seems to be a pretty good offer. I have seen this bag in the flesh and it does seem very good too although i feel it may be a little big.
Any help and known offers would be appreciated

Have tried loads of backpacks and am yet to find one that lasts and offers decent value. Evoc and Camelbak are decent but will break the bank!
As for pedals, I am very happy with my DMR V8's on my full-susser - bombproof, it is possible to grease the bearings without taking the pedals apart, they are reasonably light and cost less than £25 - mucho happy with them! Have just fitted a set of NC-17 SUD II's to my hard tail (as they were super cheap on CRC) - don't feel as good as the V8's!

I do quite like the Shimano MX30's BUT i want a coloured pedal (Red, white, mixed colour etc) and these only seen to come in silver

I've owned one pair of V8s for over 15 years and they are nowhere near to wearing down, if that's the perceived problem.I had the original Shimano DX on my 1980s BMX and despite the pounding that had, with the pedal often scraped along a kerb or similar, I never felt it needed new pins - they weren't removable either.
Overrated requirement IMO. I like the DMR V8s but wish all the pins were cast-in/not removable.

Deuter do some good bike pack which include hydration pouches, mine is so old now they don't make it, it has a good webbing system that keeps the actual pack of your back.
Pedals DMR V8 as many have mentioned are cheap enough to be replaceable and good enough not to. I have some of the lighter V8 magnesium ones on my mtb and some white std ones for a bmx project with extra 1/2" axels for a one piece crank if I go with that.
