6 week free check - worth it?

Hi All,

My bike is coming up to 6 weeks old - I've done about 130 miles so far (Cube Ltd Team) - just on gravel trails. My LBS suggested to bring it back after 6 weeks for a free check. Thing is it's a right pain to get to and drop it off/travel back and I've not noticed any problems with the bike. I'm competent enough to adjust things (well if I'm not my Dad is ) so wondering on peoples opinions on is it really worth it and do they actually do anything of note (as opposed to a yearly service).

You get it done and they tweak the shifters to accommodate cable stretch. Means it runs a little smoother, if something happens gives you a little mileage on any warranty discussions for gear damage.

Don't think much is done and to be honest can do it yourself with half hour and multitool but if you trust the shop gives the peace of mind for next ride.
