About to buy a new road bike

After several years out of the saddle I fancy getting another road bike. I have pretty much decided what I want to get, either a Bianchi Via Narone 7 Xenon or a Felt F85.
Having looked at the Bianchi yesterday, I went down to my local bike shop this afternoon to get sized up for the Felt and they had a F95 in there which was in the 2012 colours. It is not even shown on the Felt website yet. It got me thinking are all the manufacturers about to release their 2012 models, therefore meaning the 2011 stock will be reduced?
I don't fancy buying a 2011 bike and then finding it is reduced by £200 in two weeks time.
Anyone in the trade know what the score is here? any advice welcome.
. . . . . . . . also if anyone has any advice on the above two models that would also be appreciated as I just cant decide!!

its a bit early for sales of 2011 stuff but given its le tour season, they might try a few deals and things to tie in with an increased interest. normally, shops will start selling stuff off current years stock around the end of august or early september but come january and february 2012, there will be even more money off 2011 bikes especially if you are at either end of the sizing scale. there are still some great deals on 2010 bikes out there if you look.
the best thing to do if you want a bargain is not restrict yourself to a particular brand or model, just sit there with the cash ready and keep an eye out for the good buys. the popular well known brands wont be reduced as early as some other, equally good, but less fashionable brands.

New models are normally announced in the next 5-6 weeks, but in terms of actual stock availability in the shops - this won't normally happen until late October, early November although a few manufacturers do have stock available from September it will be very thin on the ground.
Sales will normally start from when next years bikes are announced, as dealers try and clear out any remaining stock before the new models arrive. Now would not be an ideal time to buy in all honesty

interbike is the biggest bike show in the world, held in las vegas in september so all the 2012 stuff will be officially released then but there will be lots of previews released ahead of the show though to drum up interest. trek have already started releaseing details of 2012 stuff. i'd love to go one day, it makes the earls court cycle show look like a jumble sale.

This.I got myself a Merida last October for £1130 from a list price of £1560, and I'll be honest, I wasn't trying too hard at the time as my mind wasn't made up about whether to rebuild/upgrade my existing bike or buy new. I expressed an interest, at LBS, in a model around the £1000 price point, but my decision was assisted when I was offered a bike from the £1500 price point for only a little extra. Add in the fact that the bike I bought had a full Ultegra group and better wheels which meant less need for immediate upgrades, and the £130 I spent over my intended budget was a bargain. I'm well aware that there will be many who will claim to have struck even better deals, but I was chuffed to get around 25% off list, and there is a caveat to remember... ...whilst the price of unsold bikes will fall as time passes, you must remember that others are watching the deals as well. It's no good spotting the lowest price/best deal on your chosen stead only to spot someone else strolling out of the shop with the last one. For the record, I bought a size small frame (Mr Shaw Tarse), as it was what I needed, and as Gregg66 stated above, 'old' stock tends to be available in the less popular sizes at the extremes of the size range.
Another thing to remember is the deal you can often strike for clothing and accessories when you buy with the bike. I got shoes, pedals, bottles, cages, a pump, and a saddle pack with 30% off the bundle. I'm sure that the more your total spend, the better the discount you can negotiate.

The Felt F series are a relatively racy geometry, don't forget to take a look at the Z series which are a bit more comfortable and maybe more suitable for you. Just seen this after searching for Felt 2012 launch info. Damn nice bike, but the price is North of £4000 at current dollar exchange rates!!!! I've got no chance of persuading 'er indoors to part with that much for a new bike. She'd want a "diamond bike, with the platinum wheels" for 4K, and I ain't the King of Sweden!
