Should my crank do this?

I stored my Avalanche 2 at my dads house for a few years and thought I'd dig it out, helpfully he'd given it to a colleague as he thought I didn't want it. So off I pop and pick up a cheap kraken to see how I get on.

I got the bike home and took it down the road for a test only to notice the crank wobbles like a warped LP disc as it goes around, it moves in and out about half an inch through a revolution and I find myself thinking it's not normal.

So before I go and make a fool of myself at the store can anyone confirm that it shouldn't be doing it?

All the bolts are tight and there's no play in it.

What sort of bottom bracket do you have?

I believe it is a Truvativ power spline.

I think that is sealed. So providing all the bolts are tight, then either a) the bottom bracket is fked, b) the bolts are cross thread, or c) the actual fitting cups are cross threaded. Either way back to the dealer probably your best bet.

Bit annoyed actually because I bought it online but had to collect it from a store 20 miles away as none of the local ones had stock, I doubt my local store a mile away will touch it.
