Quickly stripped down my Marino to transfer everything across to my new £500 barge of a titanium frame after work and found time to throw it together as a rolling chassis. Had to nick a stem from another bike to make it work due to the silly long headtube so don't get to use my nice Hope one but hey ho...

Evening all,

3rd month of riding this. I absolutely love it! Obviously the bike is way better than I am but I don’t care! Replaces a Trek Domane which will be the winter bike

Two months on this bike now, and very close to 1,000 miles. Argon18 Dark Matter with SRAM Rival 12-speed (2×) AXS. Aside from a recent issue with gears skipping, I've loved every mile and every minute. The skipping gears were nothing to do with Argon18 or SRAM, either. Down to me bending a tooth on the large chainring.

Some of the dmr stems have a very low stack.

I've got a shrike, one of the the original Hello Dave's before Sick ran out of cash.

I bought it from someone who had it built to show off his custom anodisation at trade shows. He got fed up of people talking about the bike instead of the stuff he was selling.

Great bike, I eyeballed the ti frame, but can't justify £££ for grammes of weight saving.

Hope you like yours as much as I like mine

The bike that got me back into riding after more than 20 years has been given a jazzy new FW14B inspired paint job. I did tease the paint job a short while back, it has just taken some time to get hold of the tyres.

Before going down the slippery slope of gravel bikes, this bike easily had twice the original buy price in upgrades, the only parts left from Canyon are frame and forks. This is supposed to be my ride to the office bike so I definitely should not be looking at upgrading the forks to ultimates or changing the renthal carbon bars for enve....

Looks great - shame to get it dirty.

I know you like your Enve stuff from your previous builds but I wouldn't bother with the bars.

I have some, they came on a bike I bought.

They really are nothing remotely special IME.

I'd keep the rentals on, or if you want a genuine upgrade, get some one-ups as their ability to absorb trail buzz is superb.

I really shouldn’t be looking at any upgrades, the round trip to the office is 6km.

I’m just like magpie for new shiny bits biglaugh

I'd second this - I have them on my trail bike and am thinking of getting a second set for my eMTB - great things!

Add some revgrips... Can thoroughly recommend them too for arm pump. Although they seem problematic re UK supply at the moment.

First ride out on the SL Pro for the year, apparently they're not making the Emonda anymore - it's a bike I've really enjoyed riding over the years. Might have to take a sneaky look at the new Madone, man maths allowing.
