This bike has been and is still a real pain. Bought it from an utterly useless bike shop (in Peterborough and named after a large local man made reservoir/lake) who after four visits, still didn't have things right on it. When I got it the discs were warped, the handlebar tape was hanging off, the headset was bone dry, the gears were totally fooked, the brake calipers weren't on straight and it makes a horrible clicking noise when pedalling hard. In the end, I gave up with them (they are about 20 miles away) and when I get the time (getting married this weekend), I'm stripping the thing down and attempting to solve the clicking noise myself. I have some old Look Delta pedals on it and the cleats in my shoes started squeaking recently. fking thing!
Annoyingly, I managed to scratch the the tops of the handlebars the other day where the hoods are chunky. Can see the bloody scrapes every time I look at it now.
R/Land? The one by the smaller reservoir or the larger one a little further north?Annoyingly, I managed to scratch the the tops of the handlebars the other day where the hoods are chunky. Can see the bloody scrapes every time I look at it now.

I've had several issues with the smaller one getting some old Hope hydraulics serviced. Wrong seals fitted, next set were pissing oil before I even left the shop (they hadn't even checked they worked before handing back to me).
They are good for parts but service IMHO is diabolical
Got the bike as it was priced well. I think in the process of touching if they fooked it up. Its never been right and I'm constantly having to fettle things on it.
They are goid for pricing etc, but don't bother with anything they get their hands on. I have been informed they went downhill when a consortium bought them out and made it all about the volume. Doing a good job is way down the priority list. Its all about the turnover.

Sadly not a sniff of the combined rear light/camera at the Blackwater store, and I was there by 10.00 am on the Thursday morning.
Did you check the glass cabinet? Aldi holds items they deem 'high value' in there, and that is where I saw this item in my local Aldi.
It's a big unit so will only fit on the seat post if you got loads of space and the cover for the charge connector/SD card slot doesn't look like it'll keep any moisture out.

Aldi trip (or three) for me.
I bought a pair of 'Heavy Duty' Overshoes, some chain degreaser (Muc-Off too!) and chain lube, a pack of 4 CO2 cartridges, and some neoprene gloves.
I also grabbed the Cree LED front and rear light set, and a fancy rear light for my son's commute bike.

For anyone buying the overshoes, I'd advise taking your cycling shoes in and trying the damned things on. I initially picked up the Medium, but then 'went up a size' to large as I have to with most cycling kit. They were so baggy I went back to swap for a medium, but no joy with those either. More like a wellington boot around the leg opening than a snug fitting overshoe. I'm a size 6 shoe, occasionally a 7, but I had to get a Small (size 3 to 5) in the end and they're still not as snug as I'd like. No issues with exchanges though as I made sure to try them on at home BEFORE taking them off the card.
I'm not entirely convinced about the neoprene gloves, as they feel massive around my fingers, and not very dexterous, but the idea of something that ought to keep my hands warm even if they get soaked really did appeal.

it is a bit chunky but it'll do the job i'm sure, i Have a Cycliq fly 12 & i must admit this Aldi one looks inferior but i guess you get what you pay for ,
Not going to grumble as a half decent back light comes in at at least £25.00
Got a few bits today. Swapping my SPDs from my road bike to my MTB was getting tiresome, and noticed that Halfords are selling M530s for 20 quid! Bought.
Also popped into Aldi and got some leggings, a top, the jacket and a load of Muc-off goop. Result. Didn't really need the jacket but it felt nice quality, albeit it has a hood which seems redundant.

Yup. Some notebooks/laptops and a £29.99 radio in the cabinet, among power tools and other guff, but no camera/light combos. I was about to grab a passing member of staff to vigorously interrogate them when someone else had the same idea. The answer was "we don't have any of those", so I didn't bother with further enquiries. Aldi holds items they deem 'high value' in there, and that is where I saw this item in my local Aldi.
After what others have said about bulk, I don't think it would have worked well with my road bike seat mast anyway.
I hope this link works, I'm very sceptical about the price (if it appears too good to be true etc etc.....)
So I assume these are fake? But if they are not then they are a steal?

I'm not signing up to a website solely to be able to see some dubious trinkets that come on the slow boat from China.
Edit - used a fake address and it let me in. Fizik saddle delivered for £21? Yep, that'll be legit.

I signed up for Wish a couple of weeks ago, seems to just be an app selling AliExpress stuff, not necessarily a bad thing, I've had a couple of jerseys from them I'm very happy with for commuting etc, but doubt I'd buy a component from them. Well thats it, Team Sky (just for example) jersey and bib £28.Its not for me as I prefer plain stuff, but there's other 'branded' gear on there like Giant (again, jersey and bib for £16). Seems a bargain 'if' it is 'Team Sky' or 'Giant'.
It isn't, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's horribly bad kit. I've bought a few jersey from aliexpress for commuting and like Snobetter, I think they're fine.
It's not going to be the genuine article.
Has anyone bought an aliexpress gabba style water/wind resistant jersey, is there such a thing?

Also, they advertise really cheap smart phones, can anyone tell / know if they're up to being used as a bike computer for strava? Not interested in any other functions, but $30 if it worked would be nice. It's not going to be the genuine article.

I'm hoping that the XXXL size on this will still be a slim cut, as I am tall and not (particularly) fat.
At £27.20 with the discount code PRFINAL20, and then £3.95 for Yodel delivery to someone's garden within 1/4 mile of my house, I thought it was worth a try. Not expecting it to be a £145 jacket, but hopefully it will be a bit better than the Lidl softshell I was using last year.

Can you let us know how it fits and your size? Biggest issue with bike wear over web is that one brands large can be another's xxxl.I'm 5'10 with a 42-44 chest but that usually means nothing on the size guides
