what to do in joburg?

I'm in joburg with work for the next 2 weeks.
I'll be working from our office in sandton, and will probably be entertained by my colleagues a few times, but I'll otherwise be by myself most of the time. I'm staying in melrose arche.

What do you recommend doing in the evenings after work, and next weekend (which I have free)?

Stay in your hotel, board up the windows and doors and cut a hole just big enough in the door to receive your room service!! ha ha.

No, get a tour of soweto, go to gold reef city (cheesy), go to the 'Dros' and down some beers in the African sun. I'm jealous mate! please do me one thing though. Don't go out alone at night, even in sandton.
