Anybody Ever Applied for a SA Temporary Residence Permit

Hi,

Im currently looking at applying for a Temporary Residence Permit as my misses is SA born and we are thining of maybe spending some time out there.

Anyway knowing how SA bureau departments are and the long drawn out process they like to use, I was hoping to go and get my Permit first time (some hope) and not be sent back because I don`t have a the correct form, etc...

I have the permit form from the web and intend next week to get a medical/radiological report and Police clearance. Is there a medical form I need to fill in ? Can`t find one on the web, and the same for police report ?

Anything else I need to bring ? (apart from a bribe :-)

Somewhere in there there is also a PDF will the actual Act in paper.
You can see in there the type of permit you will need to get and what's needed, the rules for it, etc.
You will get a Temp Permit (Visitor Visa valid for 1 year, renewable) and apply for a Perm Permit (spousal grounds) at the sime time. The Temp Permit will allow you to stay whilst waiting for the Perm Permit. If 1 year is over on your Temp Permit and you still don't have your Perm Permit, you simply have the Termp Permit renewed again for another year.
