I'd started the below topic in the H&T section after seeing the the SA forum isn't that heavily subscribed:

Looking at coming to SA next May as part of a honeymoon.

The replies in H&T are all good, but do read the other threads here in the SA section. It can be a very dangerous place and you need to take special care and precautions.
Lock doors when driving, don't drive through "no go" areas, etc.

A trip up Table Mountain on the cable car is worth the trip for the views alone.

Cheers. I thought allot of the safety stuff was allot of scaremongering in the most part. Cape Town etc are like allot of other major cities where you have to be a bit street smart and know where the no go areas are.
