No flags on my car. In fact, I don't think there are any SA flags in our house. No particular reason, though oddly enough I as a kid I used to walk around Boksburg in a parka with a huge union jack on the back... on the one day of the year when it was cold enough to wear a Parka in Boksburg.
I came over in 2005,and only planned on staying a couple of years, save some dough, and go back to uni at PUKKE in Potchefstroom.I left after my mom passed away, just needed the get away from everyone and everything I knew for a while!
On a happier note,I ended up rather liking it,the money and lifestyle was/still is pretty good,I was able to buy myself a decent bike,I met a lovely girl, and managed to persuade my employer at the time to pay for all my studies.
I suppose the fact that I earnt really crap money (as a barman) back in SA didn't help the cause, especially when I got here and started earning some really good money, life just became a blast!
I adorn the flag,I guess, because although I won't likely ever go back (permanently at least),I still love the country, and I'm grateful for what it gave me in my youth, and I'm still a proud saffa.

Cheers pints.
I went back for 10 days a couple of weeks ago,and really really enjoyed being back for the first time in two years, thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my 'ol man!
The place looks as good as it could, and people seem to be doing pretty well over there at the moment.
Thought I'd stick up a few of my pics (As you can see,I thoroughly enjoyed the off road riding, even though I had my first off
within the 1st half hour ) There's something that cannot be explained in words about being out in the middle of the bush in complete quietness.

hi guys. Happy New year to you.
Regarding the apathy up on the S.A. section, I think that this can be attributed to the fact that most of the motoring P.H.ers have left South Africa and are either in Wimbledon, Australia or New Zealand.
I don't have a flag on any of my cars, but having CX registration and often being asked if I live in Knysna, I have a sticker below the numberplate on all of my cars saying "Plett. Actually".
