M25 Closure FoS weekend

Highways England have confirmed the next J10-J11 closure is on the weekend of 12-15th July.

Travelling down from Kent on the Saturday morning, undecided on whether to take the M23 down to the South Coast and travel along the A27 or go round the top of M25 all the way back round to the M3 turn off.

Anyone have any experiences of coming via the A27 from Brighton way, does it get jammed up?

I’d avoid the M3 route with the A3 Junction being closed any London traffic will use the M3.

If you’re thinking of taking the A27 then be aware that there are problems at the Shoreham Flyover section and barriers/lane restrictions in place for 4 weeks at least

Also M27 from M3 to hedge end is SPECS 50mph due to resurfacing of the concrete sections and has had chaos every morning.

I also noticed a yellow sign on the A27 eastbound after the A3 northbound junction on way down to the BC yesterday, saying that had overnight closures starting the week of the FoS.
