Goodwood Revival Testing
Discussion
Does anybody know if spectators are allowed into the venue for the test days on the 8th and 9th of September. Would quite like to come and have a look and take some photographs before the event when there are a few less people there!
I would anticipate only being allowed at woodcote and the chicane (which sadly appears to be the norm at goodwood events this year )

Revival Testing is going ahead for the two days; Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th September. Numerous cars with their drivers and also the usual restriction on noise, so do not be surprised to see a few not running or trying to fix devices up the exhaust to bring them down to a sensible level.
5 cars on track at any one time.
Track goes live at 0900 with a break for lunch at 1230; restart 1330 with a 1700 finish.
Some cars arrive at 0700 when the gates open, as someone suggested the site will be busy building and preparing for the main event.
The NAAFI Wagon and Aero Club restaurant will be open for food and beverages.

Where would you suggest parking for those coming to view?
I would aim for the Old Control Tower (OCT) Car Park; formerly the Vitra Cafe by the green phone box. Might be worth leaving a contact number in the window just in case......the inner paddock shelters are now going up and it is a bit tight for parking and will be on the test days.If things change I will update this thread accordingly.

As long as it's not inconsiderate, park where you like ? Please note the paddock area and inner core areas will be very busy as it has been for the last decade. Parking is already restricted and we still have a few weeks to go.
All the temporary vehicle shelters are being built and movement on the inner side will be very restricted. Recommend the OCT; marshals will be on hand to monitor parking on the paddock areas and hopefully allow the customers who have bought cars to be tested an easy access to and from the track.
Once again I hope this helps.

I've been the last 2 years, just driven in turned left and parked out of the way - always left a contact number in the window but no one has ever phoned to ask me to move and apart from the pit lane and wall (where you need a pass) no one has ever questioned me about going anywhere - obviously be sensible and don't get in the way but it all seems very unrestricted seeing as they are so busy testing and building stuff!
