Goodwood Trackday 1991
Discussion
Edit... Not 1991, probably more like 1993... Sorry... Bottom Photo is 1991...
And, there appears to be 2 sets of photos mixed up together, one event slightly later (with the Viper)
Dug these out and scanned them in. They are from the De Tomaso Owners Club Trackday in the Spring of 1993. For those who know Goodwood Circuit today, you'll see how much it's developed in 20 years.
And from 1991

Must be my age, I'm getting confused just looking, I think there are two sets of photos there, as my car is parked in two different locations...
In this photo it’s the white Audi by the airfield fence.
And in this it’s in what is now the Paddock area.
Sorry, I’ve got two events there…

Blimey that red 911 with the reg YYC 826 was mine, px the following year for a brand new 968 in speed yellow
Interesting... I might just have a photo of that too, ISTR having a photo or two of a yellow 968 at Goodwood around that era... Did you take it out on track by chance? Seem to recall watching one in action there.HereBeMonsters said:
Wow, amazing to see Skylines on there. I thought people in Britain never heard of them until Gran Turismo came out!
What was amazing was seeing the speed they carried around Goodwood, and they were also very quiet...I can still picture the De Tomaso's coming out of the Chicane and being overtaken with consummate ease by a big Jap saloon... Pretty much everything was slower. ISTR the Burgundy R32 was quicker than the black one too.
Blimey some cracking shots there! just how i used to remember it when visiting for trackdays/sprints then, imho although i like the circuit as it is now i did like the rough and readyness of it then. must be my rose tinted specs doing it but i do long for those days gone by! i used to love the carrera sport track days then!
