Having always been a fan of the Fox, I drove past the RA yesterday and it seemed as if it had been a little smartened up. Anyone know if it is any good, or just stick to the Fox?

Personally we opt for the Royal Oak at Lavant

Earl of March foods ok but no atmosphere, Royal Oak excellent food, atmosphere and very friendly staff has become our local now, you get what you pay for really, saying that both are prob better than the Fox which is over priced and over rated IMHO. Another cracking pub for food and well worth a visit is Ths Star and Garter in East Dean and also I beleive the White Horse at Chilgrove is now re-open called the The Fish House or somthing like that not been there yet though but sounds good.

the place down chilgrove is ment to be nice and looks very good from the outside. also the partridge in singleton is very nice and worth a look.

I am sort of in agreement about the Fox, but it still holds a special place in my heart. I'll give all these others a go, thanks for opening my eyes
