This is a tricky one - What qualifies for a Fabulous Family Favorite?

Who is going and in what?

Well I'm going to take my RS4 Avant - Surely that is a family favorite?

How about a 17-year old, 139,000 mile Toyota Previa? After all, it's a favourite with my family!

Seriously, I can see this being a total shambles if they're not careful.

Sounds like another one to avoid.. Are they going to fill the place with "family Cars" eg mondeos, vectras, mpvs etc?? I can go to tesco's to see that line up! Can we get more details from GW as to what they are expecting?
Soft top or Supercar sunday is easy to figure out?
I guess with "family" in the theme, we can expect them all to have at least 4+ seats?

I would hope to see some mark 1 Cortinas (perhaps some Lotus Cortinas), early Escorts etc. Maybe we'll see a model T or two who knows. I hope it isn't just new MPVs and Vectras and Mondeos and that sort of stuff that shows upeek

I personally find the title "Fabulous Family Favourites" a bit of an oxymoron when used with the Goodwood name and all it stands for.

Accordingly, I shall be heading to Brands to watch BTCC's opening round. Possibly a tad more exciting....

It is an awkward one for the gatekeepers thats for sure , I'll be along in my 60s family favourite but how do they feel about the more modern stuff , surely you wouldn't turn away a Lotus Carlton but what about XR3iS , Top end Mondeos , Volvos etc , I hope its not going to be like going to Tesco's but surely it's not an event that would attract many everyday cars ?

There's an original advert for the Gen 2 Camaro, that goes something like "The Corvette for the Family Man", if I can find it on t'net I'm a shoe in thumbup

Ok it'd have to be a quite small family to negotiate the roll cage.....

5 April: 'Fabulous Family Favourites - from Fords to Flaminias' Any practical collector's car with room for all the family, plus four-seater and fixed gear aircraft.

Hopefully the word "collectors" will thin the selection process down a bit.
