No LM for me this year frown but I hope to go to the Festival of Speed at the beginning of July - my first time.

My plan is to travel down from the midlands on the Thursday, camp somewhere nearby, go in each day and head home late on Sunday.

Any PH recommendations for nearby camp sites that may still be taking bookings?

I'd like to get this booked up ASAP - something to look forward to in the new year.

Cheers

Hey,

I can recomend Red house farm camping site, A google search should turn them up.

Its not too far from Goodwood, with some good roads quite near-by. They weren't even fully booked for FoS weekend last year, and i'll be using this place if we go this year.

Cheers - I'll have a look.

There is a phone no. on the FoS site for on-site camping. Can't imagine there is still space but I'll give that a go too....

tis a shame they dont have campsite which is walkable for the event. Then no worries if you have a few shandy's.

They do! The official Goodwood camping is just across from the main gate entrance (opposite the hotel carpark)

There is also a pub nearby - Anglesey Arms at Halnaker that has a small field for camping over the weekends - website http://www.angleseyarms.co.uk/

May be worth a try - not that far to walk to FOS and Revival

Just booked up for the campsite that FOS provide, it takes about three minutes to get to the entrance and makes the event very chilled. Its limited to three hundred pitches. Its expensive, but very hassle free with decent showers and staff to help !! smile

Hi

How much and did you have to book a minimum amount of nights?

Hi VW, I will be doing the whole w/e, getting there thursday night. I did not enquire about a minimum camping period because I will be there for the whole three days of the event. The impression that I got, having used it last year, was that the campsite seemed full, and that those that were there, did the whole weekend. Sorry I cannot enlighten you further. One thing I will say is that if you dial the number above, you will get a very quick answer from a polite and intelligent member of staff. Its kind of like stepping back in time when you phone Goodwood, they know you may spend money, so they treat you with a bit of respect, its nice !
P.S Almost forgot, non electric pitches are £140.00 from thursday night until Monday. Electric pitches I think are £180.00. Big bucks, but it really does make the whole event sooooooo chilled, being so close. Also, the pitches are big !
