I never seem to end up in the best car park - I think the excitement of being there takes over!

Those who have been today maybe could advise which is the best car park to aim for (least walking!). I have the GRRC badge thing too.

Ta.

Not been today but assuming parking is roughly the same as last couple of years, I usually get parked ok in the field opposite the entrance, like you have the magical GRRC badge which helps biggrin

See here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en...

The front section is reserved for the Pre66 and then behind that is the GRRC, least thats as I remember it, it's good cos you get to wander through that section on your way in. I think non GRRC get parked in the field to the North of this one or further behind but can't be sure on that. To get to the entrance for this you want to approach from the East, ideally coming down via Petworth on the A285 and then turning onto New Road (but all clearly signed obviously by this point).

I've never been in any others but can't imagine getting very much closer than this and is what I shall be doing tomorrow.

Correct! come in from the east side, Halnaker village end, the road is called New Road. Go straight past the signs to the Public Car park on the right, carry on for another 200 metres and turn left into the next car park - the yellow sign has a GRRC sticker on it. The stewards will see your sticker and direct you accordingly.

They sent me a windscreen label for car park G with my tickets for tomorrow.

Hmmmm, maybe that's because I have grandstand seats (Lavant Corner). Anyone else get a car park label? I'm assuming car park G is as convenient as the GRRC one I'd have chosen had I not had a label!!

Actually is it certain there's a dedicated GRRC car park (as implied in a post above?) I thought there was just 'forward' parking for GRRC members in ALL the car parks. I suppose forward parking means you park closer to the pedestrian exit/entrance which in turn means deeper into the car park hence longer queues to get out!!

All car parks are open to GRRC members, so as posted, I'm trying to find the best one.

G sounds the one....

Thanks

G is (I understand from a post James made on the GRRC forum) only for those who have booked Lavant Corner Grandstand, and subsequently received the "G" parking badge along with their grandstand tickets. A GRRC badge alone will not get you in there, in fact there is not any fwd GRRC parking in that one at all. Of course if you have booked Lavant then jobs a goodun.

Based on the traffic at 8.00 yesterday, you need to leave before 8.24.

OOhhhh - sorry, it's too late to tell you that now!

rofl

Its just before 9am on Sunday morning, the sun is shining and all Ive heard for the past 2 hours are helicoptors (oh hark, as I type another one takes off) flying in and out from South Lodge Hotel (next door to me) where most of the drivers and all of the owners must be staying this year. Its busier than Gatwick Airport this morning and Im as jealous as hell. Its actually busier (or seems to be) than FoS weekend. It seems Revival really is the one to be seen at smile

TC? Next year? I'll let you take me (to the Revival, not as in your normal 'take me' request) as your guest (or you Neil, either of you will do smile)

I'll even blag the use of my mate's period Rolls Royce smile
