Hi All,
Just thought you might like to know that Brundle and Newey are testing Adrian's Lightweight E-Type today in preparation for the TT at the 2008 Goodwood Revival. Their best time of 1m 27s is a match for last year's winning car and on par with other times from the same race.

Looks like we're going to have another close race this year!

Is there anything happening tomorrow? Have a free day and Goodwood is a great 30 min drive away smile

Hi, There's a private track day on today, some quite nice cars.. Tomorrow and Thursday are the best days, Revival Testing. If you do decide to come down to watch, please be aware that the site is extremely busy for the Revival build. I think the best place to park is in the central paddock area, in one of the shelters. Anywhere else will mean you may get in the way of the build which would be a considerable PITA. As many of the cars will be parked in the first two bays, could I ask that you use the bay closest to the Flying School.

Thanks,
J

Thanks jgoodwood for the tip off - I went today and it was excellent!

Apart from an assortment of cars on the track there were Rowan Atkinsons McLaren F1 and a French reg Veyron in the car park.

Track included Aston, C type, Audi TT and Caterham (their cars weren't ready and the drivers needed to test) Allard, Rowan A's Jag Mk VII(?), formula juniors, A35s, Ferraris, GT40.

Wonderful - and no restriction on where you can go, unlike on the 'real' days!

Hi,

I went to Goodwood after seeing that there was a test day. It was really great to see so many cars that are my favorites all on show for a close up look. No one moved me away and allowed me to ask questions freely. I turned a few heads when I drove my TVR in. Spotted one of my all time favorites a Ferrari GTO 250.

There were some mutterings in octane about the 'low profile' spec of this car, as well as some aero tweaks. We're all used to hot-rod E=types cleaning up in the TT, I wonder what was special about this one?

Theres a great picture of Brundle in the E type coming through the Chicane , I think its in Motorsport but one of the other mags has a better write up on the event so I'll probably end up buying both ! like your website GT , I practically spent all Summer on those beaches in Cornwall as a kid , nice work ! thumbup

Apparently the E-Type was sporting a few Red Bull stickers on the Friday and Saturday but they were removed for the Sunday; anyone got any pics to prove?

No pics to prove, but it was certainly sporting the stickers on Fri/Sat. I couldn't confirm whether they were there on Sunday. I was too busy enjoying the greatest motor race I've ever seen! Unbelievably close racing among - in my opinion - the greatest and most beautiful cars in racing history.
