Goodwood! 1st time, where to stay?
Discussion
hi,
will be flying in early on Friday to gatwick from Dublin to head to goodwood but still havent sorted beds! Four lads on a weekend pass so wondering if Chichester is a little quiet? We were thinking of staying in Bognor Regis for the nightlife?
Needs to cheap n cheerful so B&B type if anyone knows something decent?
Cheers

Depends what you're looking for I guess; Chichester (and some of the other areas not too far from Goodwood such as Midhurst, Haslemere etc.) are beautiful, but as you say very quiet if you want anything more than a good meal and a few pints in a decent country pub.
For anything else, Brighton (about 30 miles away) is probably your best bet. I shall, erm, reserve judgement on Bognor Regis!

Hi I live in Chichester - as noted above lovely place but not that much nightlife - you may struggle to find accomdation now there is a bit of a music festival over the week end in central chichester - see here http://www.chichester-rajf.com/
There is a nightclub just outside the town that is what it is - but as noted above Brighton or Portsmouth (nearer) would be a much better bet for a night out with more going on
Hope this is of help
