Ok so I noticed a mention in the FOS 08 brochure of a 'new on-site camping for 2008' - does anybody have any info on this? any feeling how it's going to be run and atmosphere (eg mini LeMans)? anybody else considering this option?

If im not shipped off to Canada ill be camping in my mates lounge !! Ill be very interested to hear about this on-site camping. Im thinking its only going to be a field as there is no camp site on or next door to Goodwood ??

Previous 'on site camping' always appeared to be a bit haphazard, very very temporary and eye-wateringly expensive. Perhaps the mud of 2007 has resulted in a re-think.

FoS official camping was fully booked when I tried to book last week so we've gone for here instead now :-

Just for info.. Places are now available at the FoS and Revival campsites.. We moved the location last week to allow for more pitches.

What's the damage for a pitch this year James, I'm thinking of camping just on the Thursday night - get a head start on all the traffic!!

Are there any pitches left on the official campsite? I left my details on the answer phone but no one's got back to me so fear they may be fully booked.

Is there any other camping available nearby?

Hi there.
Camping is still available on site for the Festival of Speed, about 30 pitches left (non-electric sites). Not sure what number you called to leave message but try 01243 755055.

Cheers

Jim

I have a camping ticket (non-electric) for the official site that I may have to sell.
A friend and I were going for the weekend but I've had to cancel because of work. We'll decide for sure today, giving plenty of time to post the ticket if anyone wants it.

Anyone interested?

(apologies for not posting this in classifieds but it seems more relevant here).

Sorry Mike, only saw this today.
I stuck the ticket on eBay and it went overnight.

First ever year @ FOS and used their campsite which was expensive, but good. V.Close to entrance and Goodwood house Hotel which was good for refreshment after a tough 30 seconds pitching 3 second 'pop up' tent. As I said, expensive, but extremely convenient.
