Nice collection, was this a private event? I would've loved to pop down and take some photos.

At the time this was taken the owner was four days into CSL ownership and despite managing to stick some six pot brakes on it couldn’t get the seats dropped and raked enough to accommodate his 6’4” frame comfortably.

Unfortunately he found he kept hitting his head on the top of the door frame and roof thus dislodging his skid lid. Still it made for a bit of in-car readjustment, hope this helps?

That said I’d love a few copies as this is a great day and raised a good bit of loot for a very worthwhile local charity.

Remember reading a post in the Ferrari forum someone saying an F40 lived 'that way'.

Correct. They all belong to Peter Saywell, MD of Saywell International, along with a Carrera GT, TWO Koenigseggs, and a number of other supercars. Most (if not all) of his cars have AOG registrations as it's a well-known aviation abbreviation (Aircraft On Ground).

Saywell International have there offices in Worthing and the MD lives quite near me. Regularly see him around driving one of his many cars.

AT, rest assured you are part of Team Vario-R for the next one, I’ve got my name down for four places of which you are one.

The great thing with the DTDC members is very few have cars that actually work and those that do are thrown of for being to noisy so taking a few mates along isn’t a problem. Hopefully we will have the privilege of 993 RSR’s company at the next one so some brushing up on your ‘p’s and q’s’ please before October, cap doffing in the presence of Porsche nobility is mandatory

My favourite bit of the day was the bloke in the Radical (insert expletive) discovering that however fast and nimble the effing thing was, a straight line drag race with a 600 bhp Pantera was always going to be a one sided affair. The Radical also discovered that annoying a Pantera get’s you covered in a fine film of oil for your troubles

If you see ClaphamGT3 around your office please remind him that a 550bhp Labrador carrier is no substitute for a flat six, not now, not ever, and its not big and its certainly not clever. His taste in cars was at best bizarre as a 17 year old but as he homes in on 40 well…………………………..

You mean knob-ility, surely biggrin
Just wondering how much boot liking really is required to secure a few pax laps in that CGT on slicks.

I have too many favourites to list, but passing the LP640 and the Diablo SV (in the last session - when it was NOT short shifting) was pretty damn sweet.

I certainly will - Anyone who sells a GT3 & starts looking at Fezza 550's has to be a bit nutty - or am I wrong.
