Is the March enclosure worth it?
Discussion
I love the Revival, but get a bit narked the normal GRRC area is so far from the action and that you have to get to a corner at about 2 minutes after the gates open for the morning to get a good spot to sit at and while I like the grandstands, they always look a bit packed in.
I'd also quite like to sit in on the auction.
But is it worth it? Is it close enough to the action? Is the outside space nice? Is the smell of burn hydrocarbons rich in the air? Do you get to see the start finish and interviews?
As a comparison, a start-line grandstand weekend ticket (to non-members as I can't remember my login details at the mo), plus a programme, plus a Bonhams brouchure comes in at about £230. So the cost isn't that much more.
But if don't bother with a grandstand ticket (which we wouldn't) and just get a normal one, we would rock up for about £130 so it is an awful lot more.
What other benifits do we really get if we go for it?
