Good Morning...

Just a short note to let everyone know about the Spring Sprint to be held on Easter Monday at the Goodwood Motor Circuit.

The GRRC will be holding its third 'Spring Sprint' on Easter Monday at the Goodwood Motor Circuit. We have an entry of 100 cars ranging from a 1907 Wolseley-Siddeley Coppa Florio racer to the latest Lotus 2 Eleven. Other highlights will include an original C-type, numerous classic racing Porsches, GT3s, a 997 'CUP' car and a couple of touring car legends from the '80s. Practice starts at 09.00hrs and the timed runs start at 11.00hrs. There is also an aerobatic air display by Goodwood's own historic Harvard and Sir Stirling Moss will be testing a Fraser Nash Le Mans rep in preparation for the Monaco Historic weekend. Other notable names competing will be Barrie 'Whizzo' Williams and Touring car ace Anthony Reid, both racing suitable classic cars against the clock. The skid pan will also be in operation and Elite Helicopters will be offering pleasure trips from 10.30hrs. Entry and parking is free for all and the NAAFI Wagon and Vitra Cafe will be open for refreshments throughout the day.

Hope to see you here..

James

Sorry for the confusion... It's definitely on Monday 24 March. Is there any way I can edit my initial post?

Cheers,
J

Beeb reporting weather as ok for Monday, even a bit of sun. Have an affirmative for attendance but only on condition of weather looking ok. Finger crossed indeed.

I believe spectators are welcome, whether members of the GRRC or not. If it weren't for the LOTRDC racing at Brands I'd be there - should be a really good day.

Excellent, I'll give you a bell tomorrow to confirm if we are doing it or not. Dunno what time we will get down there, out tonight and staying over with friends so won't be an early start for us - believe the Harvard is due to be buzzing around at about 12:30, always a nice sight so definitely will want to be down by then.
