Thanks for posting the calendar. The Goodwood Breakfast Club website (here http://www.goodwood.co.uk/breakfastclub ) still says "The 2008 diary TBC" - did you find it published somewhere else?

It just went up today in the members area of the GRRC website. No doubt they will get the main Brekkie Club webpage updated in due shortly, in the meantime consider it an exclusive biggrin

Interesting themes this year, looking forward to getting to as many as possible, although the first date is Mothers Day, shall we all drag our mums down to Goodwood then, maybe they'll lay on a special creche for them!!

Shame there is no French event this year, that was quite good last time. They all look pretty good though, I just hope that they're not too busy. It was already starting to become a bit of a victim of its own success last year.

Imagine March will be a relatively soft start of the season, for the beardy classic types wink but April will likely be a monster with what must be a huge catchment of potential cars for the display parking.

So you mean it's not the owners who have to be pre '73? silly

Bit disappointing not to have an "American" breakfast club this year. By all accounts it was very popular last year. Ho hum. frown

Stolen press release:

GOODWOOD ANNOUNCES THE 2008 BREAKFAST CLUB DATES AND THEMES

Following the huge popularity of the 2007 Goodwood Breakfast Club season, the much anticipated dates and themes for the 2008 Sunday morning meetings can now be announced.

The Goodwood Breakfast Club will be held on the first Sunday of the month, from March until November (excluding September and October) at the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex. The event will once again host a series of meetings with the promise of an eclectic mix of vehicles and a great organic breakfast menu to get the appetite of any motoring enthusiast going.

The Goodwood Breakfast Club was originally launched to huge acclaim in March 2006 and since then each event has attracted an enthusiastic ‘petrol head’ audience. For 2008, the monthly Breakfast Club meetings will be enhanced with a new set of themes, as detailed below, plus other initiatives designed to appeal to the real motoring enthusiast with a healthy appetite. In addition to some great cars, expect to see some fantastic motorcycles, trikes, trucks and even buses!

Enhancements made to the Breakfast Club last summer now make it easier for themed vehicles to park-up on the starting grid of the hallowed Goodwood Motor Circuit, the scene of Britain’s first post-war motor race 60 years ago in 1948. Parking for non-themed spectator vehicles has also been improved to get enthusiasts closer to their breakfast, and some mouth-watering machines. It is now also easier than ever for enthusiasts to savour a delicious and hearty home-reared Goodwood organic breakfast, with more serving and seating positions located along the main Circuit Pit Straight.

The first of the 2008 Goodwood Breakfast Club meetings will be held on Sunday 2nd March. As in previous years, admission to the Breakfast Club remains free, and all visitors are welcome.

A revised and improved website, dedicated to the Goodwood Breakfast Club (www.Goodwood.co.uk/breakfastclub) will shortly be available on-line, highlighting each monthly theme, as well as a detailed listing of the delicious organic breakfast menu available.

Over the page is a full list of 2008 Goodwood Breakfast Club dates and themes, with a summary of the sort of vehicles visitors can expect to see at this year’s events.

So, are the meets starting later - 0830 seems later than last year when people were turning up from 0700-0730?

I think they have always said that time tbh, just people do their own thing and arrive early to secure a better chance of getting into the display parking and also of getting first in the queue for brekkie.

Isn't the official Goodwood brekky at £10 odd an absolute rip off? Last time we got excellent bacon rolls and a mug of tea for about £3 from round the back in the NAAFI truck with no queuing......

(Don't tell everyone!)

I've had the Full English in the Aero Club and it's excellent value.
