Hi

On July 28 the Goodwood site says that the track is being used for the Goodwood Road Racing Club. Anyone know what this is? I am looking for some motorsport action this weekend, is this something you can go and watch?

It's the "Fan Club" for the Goodwood motorsport events. There are other clubs for the horses and flying. Gets you discounts, special access and private events.
I can't tell you what's on, as I've thrown the latest letter away. I'd guess it's one of the track days or the sprint. You can probably wander in without difficulty, but I can't guarantee that the cars will be very special (though there's likely to be a few classics).

Cheers DarkMatter, I did read through that, but it didn't real give an idea as to whether it was a spectator sport?

Do you mean you have to be a member to take part, or to go and watch as well? I was under the impression that there was free spectator entry to many of the privately organised events such as track days.

And off topic.... wondered if you were a PHer!
Seen your car at all of the breakfast meets and forgot to find out if you were a member!

The day in OP (28th July) is a trackday for members of GRRC and is free entry as a spectator (GRRC member or not). To take part you have to be a member of GRRC.

This day is different though, they are intending to run pre-79 "classic" sessions including an informal concours.
