The Richard Burns Foundation needs your help!
And you could win a passenger ride in a WRC at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
Volunteers who offer their services will be treated to a free entry to the Festival and will have the chance to meet some of the world’s best WRC drivers, including Subaru aces Petter Solberg, Chris Atkinson and Stobart VK M-Sport Ford young-gun Matthew Wilson.
RBF are looking for warming, cheerful people aged 18 and over to assist from 3pm to 7pm each day with collection buckets at the exits surrounding the grounds; to encourage the public to make a donation towards the Foundation. Last year £20,000 was raised this way and they are hoping to raise even more this year round!
In 2006 over £60,000 was raised at Goodwood which enabled the Foundation to make a substantial donation to the Youth Cancer Trust and also allowed six children a passenger ride with Markko Martin on the purpose built special stage. This year the Foundation will be helping the Teenage Cancer Trust in the same way.
RBF will be accompanied at Goodwood by current WRC teams and drivers to take beneficiaries and competition winners out for a blast of a lifetime in a WRC car. The Foundation will also be auctioning off a select amount of these rides with the world’s best drivers.
A Richard Burns memorial stand will be set up for the entire duration of the Festival where people can see some of Richard’s previous cars and chat to the Foundation representatives.
The stand will also be selling RBF members’ and supporters’ packs and will be a place where visitors can find out more ways of getting involved with such a worthwhile, motorsport passionate, charitable foundation.

I e-mailed the RBF last year when I was hoping to get into the London Marathon asking how I could raise money for them. Didn't even get an acknowledgement of the e-mail.
My younger brother died of a Brain Tumour 4 years ago. He too passed out in his car. There's a lot of it about!
How about a collection along the lines of the Hamster...after all this is a very worth cause which touches quite a few of us and also another way of honouring a Great British Champion!
