Not sure if anyone is interested, but the dates have been released for the 83rd Members' Meeting.
18- 19 April 2026
Ticket sales are now open too (must be a Member or Associate to book - but not to attend) Not sure how that will work as everything is supposed to be an e-ticket next year.
I got my tickets months ago before the dates were released and of course, booked the wrong dates at the hotel!
ETA: No, I don't have a weather forecast yet.

Yes, it sounds like the collectors badge tickets issued in previous years are now a thing of the past. That’s a real shame if that’s right. It was a little something (literally and figuratively) that felt special. Just a sentimental old fool, I suppose…
Doubtless the racing will be just as special as ever.
Sunny on the Sunday, I gather.

Goodwood say;Whilst entry into the event will be a digital ticket, we appreciate that special touches, such as metal swing badges, are an essential part of your Members' Meeting experience. Further details on how to collect your complimentary souvenir metal badge at the event will be sent out in due course. No action is required at this point.

Goodwood deciding to stop this now would be rather irritating.
Can I ask you good people how strict their dress code is?
Their website is clearly aimed at the country set:
...so aside from thinking that I won't belong there (I doubt I have enough wealth), I'm rather nervous that in addition to c.£500 for the membership, weekend ticket and accommodation I'd end up having to spend close to the same again on clothing.
Their offices and phones appear closed today, but it's the last day for discounted MM tickets. And yes I have left it late - a neighbour who goes regularly just reminded me yesterday.
Thanks,
M.

Anything from a jacket and tie to a polo-neck jumper. A tweed jacket, a country shirt and moleskins or chinos would be perfect - along with a cap and wax jacket in case of inclement weather.
Aside from a handful of wool or cashmere work suits (+1 linen), which I really wouldn't want to wear for a full day there taking a couple of thousand photographs from all angles, I own none of the above. I have office smart, I have 'outdoors' (hill walking type kit) clothes, and I then have casual clothes....so aside from thinking that I won't belong there (I doubt I have enough wealth), I'm rather nervous that in addition to c.£500 for the membership, weekend ticket and accommodation I'd end up having to spend close to the same again on clothing.

I have not been for a few years but have never bothered with anything much and it's one of the joys of the MM that you do not need all that fancy uncomfortable get-up. The Union Jack stickered, Bentley-driving Farage set might disagree, prefacing any suggestion with "Whilst..."...so aside from thinking that I won't belong there (I doubt I have enough wealth), I'm rather nervous that in addition to c.£500 for the membership, weekend ticket and accommodation I'd end up having to spend close to the same again on clothing.

Wear what is comfortable for the conditions - can be cold/wet. Maybe get a cheaper green waterproof to blend in a bit if yours is Everest-spec.
There is some curious plumage sported at Goodwood , even at the MM. Reassuringly pricey Dubarry Boots and baker's boy caps seemed to be de rigeuer amongst some. Is this Cotswold chic a la Beckham ? I've live in the country for most of my life and the only time I see that look is when it's sported by the mummies from hell , pushing their child to greater efforts at the village show dressage
Thanks all - might just bite the bullet then and have an expensive but hopefully fun weekend.
Hopefully I won't be stopped and asked for my papers by the faux-patriots on the way in.

Blue/grey Berghaus waterproof and nondescript grey cargo trousers over grey Meindl walking boots is my usual uniform for motorsport / airshow photography. Covers most evenutalities and gives me plenty of pockets.Hopefully I won't be stopped and asked for my papers by the faux-patriots on the way in.

You'll be absolutely fine....as per the photo's in this thread, at the MM people tend to just wear what is comfortable/ practical, especially as the weather can be a bit 'interesting' in April. Hopefully I won't be stopped and asked for my papers by the faux-patriots on the way in.
Its a great event and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Whilst it is a shame it didnt happen at last years F1 75th anniversary celebration at the FoS, I am very much looking forward to seeing Jenson driving the Brawn BGP001 at this year's MM.

Thanks Ian (& everyone else).
If you'd like to, ping me your contact details so we can grab a coffee / beer there - at the moment I'll be visiting on my own, hopefully meeting up with my neighbour for a bit but that's it.
Sounds good....and will do nearer the time. If you'd like to, ping me your contact details so we can grab a coffee / beer there - at the moment I'll be visiting on my own, hopefully meeting up with my neighbour for a bit but that's it.
I hope to be there both days, unless the weather turns apocalyptic!!!
We’ll be there Friday afternoon until Sunday.
Dress for the conditions, we walk the circuit at least once each day so wear suitable footwear, and it can get damn cold if you stay for the evening entertainment and excellent fireworks.
Nobody is that bothered about dress code for MM, although a tweed or wax is more common that not.
Our usual muster point is the beer garden at Trent’s on South Street on Friday afternoon.
